As part of my enhancing the flavor series I’m offering a few ideas on infusing tea into grains and seeds. Any of these can go from sweet to savory and feel free to use whatever tea you have on hand to experiment. These are just a few combinations I've used in my own kitchen.
- Chia Seed Pudding – 1 tsp matcha powder + 2 tbsp chia seeds + 1 cup dairy or non-dairy of your choice + 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Brown Rice Porridge – 2 tsp lavender earl grey tea + ½ cup cooked brown rice + ½ cup dairy or non-dairy of your choice + 1 beaten egg + 2 tsp honey + 1 tbsp raisins
- Moroccan couscous - 1 cup dry couscous + 1/4 cup hot veggie broth + 1 cup brewed cinnamon tea (make sure it's not sweetened) + 2 cinnamon sticks + 1 whole star anise + salt and pepper to taste
